Slex Allen is a man who wears many different hats. Producer, DJ, Songwriter, Vocalist. But no matter which figurative hat he wears, he does it with innovation and individuality.

Slex got his start in the Denver music scene as frontman and co-writer for Denver’s legendary dance pop group, OptycNerd. For several years, the duo dropped banger after banger and shared the stage with acts such as Lil Dicky, MAX, Jake Miller, Blink-182, and 30 Seconds To Mars to name a few.

Now, as a solo artist, Slex Allen has relocated to the vibrant Tampa music scene. Drawing influences from artists ranging from Rüfüs Du Sol to Sam Gellaitry, J Dilla to Disclosure, Slex has formulated his own unique fusion of catchy, melody-driven, rhythmic dance music.

Having been a performer and DJ for 10+ years, Slex is no stranger to the stage. When he’s not writing in the studio or creating content, you can find him DJing around Tampa and St. Pete at various bars, clubs, and private events. His ongoing DJ resumé includes popular places like M.Bird, Forbici, Concrete Jungle, Sky Beach, and Lower Deck.

Slex is known for bringing a feel-good, welcoming magnetism to any venue he touches.
